That’s why we selected this measurement fixture as our April Part of the Month.
We wanted a quick, accurate and inexpensive way for our manufacturer to verify that each of our printer’s build plates is level. So, we designed this custom measurement fixture in SOLIDWORKS and printed it on our Rize™ One 3D printer. The fixture is placed on the rails inside the printer and slid along the rails to take measurements at various points. It works like a charm!
This low-cost, yet isotropic-strength, fixture ensures our build plate is level to within our strict specifications. Typically, measurement fixtures are made out of aluminum, with one-offs costing hundreds of dollars each. Our Rize-produced fixture saves cost and time because we can send the file to our resellers and they can print the fixture locally to take measurements as needed in the field.
